Beijing Adventure from
Few cities in the world besides Beijing have served as the
political and cultural centre of an area as immense as China for
so long. It is described as "One of the world's great cities".
The city has been an integral part of Chinas history over
the past eight centuries, and nearly every major building of any
age in Beijing has at least some national historical significance.
Beijing is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, and huge
stone walls and gates. Its art treasures and universities have
long made the city a centre of culture and art in China.
This tour includes round-trip private airport transfers plus 2
days shared classic tours with 3 nights hotel accommodation, and
a free kungfu show.
Day 1: Depar via Air Canada
Day 2: Arrive Beijing airport. You will be met and transferred
to your hotel with a local speaking driver. Free day and evening.
Day 3: Meet the guide
in the hotel lobby around 7:00 and continue to Ming Tombs to
experience the best preserved Chinese Imperial Tombs with over
500years history. You will see Changling, which is the head
and the larges tomb of the Ming Tombs and you will spend approximately
2 hours discovering he history and magnificent architecture
of these burial places. Before lunch, you'll have a chance to
visit a jade carving factory. After lunch, visit Great Wall
at Badaling Great Wall, which is one of world wonder known for
its deep-rooted culture, elegant sights and complete military
facilities. Hike astonishing Great Wall to get a lifetime memory
of being a hero. Cable car is a good choice (OPTIONAL) if one
wants to get to the highest point and take the whole beautiful
bird view. Afterwards, transfer to the Olympic Stadium for an
outside view of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Next stop will
be a Chinese tea shop and back to hotel.
Day 4: Meet the guide
in the hotel lobby around 7:00 and continue to Tian'anmen Square
and Forbidden City - the largest and best preserved imperial
residence in China. Tiananmen Square is within the top ten largest
city squares in the world. It has great cultural significance
as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history.
The Forbidden City,called the Imperial City, still remains important
in the civic scheme of Beijing. There is a chance to visit a
centre for Chinese traditional medicine culture. Then you will
be served with a lunch and then continue to the Temple of Heaven
where the ancient Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. In
the temple complex the Emperor would personally pray to Heaven
for good harvests. From here we proceed to a Silk Factory. Afterwards,you
will visit Summer Palace, the largest and most beautiful Chinese
imperial garden. It is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and
palaces in west Beijing. In the evening, you will be transferred
to enjoy a Local Kungfu Show. You can enjoy a high quality of
performance. After show, you will return to hotel on your own.
Day 5: Transfer to
the airport for your return flight home.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CHINA: A valid
passport and visa are required to enter China and must be obtained
from Chinese Embassies and Consulates before traveling to China.
Americans arriving without valid passports and the appropriate
Chinese visa are not permitted to enter and will be subject to
a fine and immediate deportation at the traveler's expense. Please
visit the US Department of State's website for information on
how to obtain your visa.
Please note: The Forbidden City is not open on Mondays, so the
itinerary will be swapped when that happens.
