Enjoy this 3-day guided tour of the Great Barrier Reef. Spend
two nights at a beach resort, and take a day trip to Lady Musgrave
Island for a slice of paradise on the southern section of the
Great Barrier Reef. Swim with turtles and visit the world's
largest turtle research center (April to October), take part
in the MON REPOS live turtle encounter (November to March) or
you may even have the opportunity to spot humback whales (June
to November). Take part in optional activities such as scuba
diving, deep-sea fishing and surfing on this trip to one of
the worlds natural wonders! Round-trip transport from
Gold Coast, Brisbane or Sunshine Coast is included.
Day 1: Depart via Air Canada.
Day 2: In Flight
Day 3: Arrival in Brisbane. After clearing Customs & Immigration,
proceed on your own to your hotel in Brisbane. Day and evening
free to explore Brisbane.
Day 4: Brisbane to the Southern Great Barrier Reef(L,D)
Meet your coach in the morning at a central location in Brisbane
and head north. Stop
and visit Snakes Downunder Reptile Park and Zoo. Catch sight
of the Glasshouse Mountains as you go. Afterward, get back on
the road to arrive at Eco-friendly Kelly's Beach Resort by mid-afternoon
and check in to your resort.
Next, visit the family-run
Mammimo Gourmet Ice Cream. Lick fresh ice cream or sorbet (own
expense) as you watch a farm demo about sugarcane production
Once you have put
down your bags, choose from several activities for the afternoon.
You can try optional activities (at own expense) such as surf
lessons and a free guided snorkel school and fish feeding tour.
Looking to just unwind? Lounge and swim at the beach or pool
at your leisure or visit the world's largest turtle research
center (April to October) or take part in the MON REPOS live
turtle encounter (November to March).
In the evening, have
dinner at a local café or restaurant, and then enjoy
the nightlife on site or a walk on the beach to look for shooting

Day 5: Lady Musgrave
Island (B, L, D)
After breakfast, hop on board your boat and cruise to Lady Musgrave
Island, situated on the southern part of the Great Barrier Reef.
This area is known to be free of stinging jellyfish so you can
enjoy the turquoise waters without worries.
After about an hour-long
ride, you arrive at Coral Lagoon for more paradise. You have
several options for your day here. Swim among the amazing coral
and fish with the provided snorkel gear, and take a trip by
glass-bottom or enjoy a guided island walk with commentary.
Keep on the lookout for whales (in-season) and turtles; you
might even spot the turtles nesting sites on the beach.
You also have the
option to try scuba diving or deep-sea fishing (own expense).
Both beginning and certified divers can explore the diversity
of marine life on the Great Barrier Reef; meanwhile anglers
of all skill levels can attempt to reel in some fish with provided

lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea on the boat. If time and
weather permit, youll be treated to a sunset tour. Afterward,
enjoy dinner at a local café or restaurant and then enjoy
the rest of the evening on your own.

Day 6: Brisbane (B,L)
Check out of the resort after breakfast and head to the beach
for some fun in the sun. Take an optional surfing lesson (own
expense), swim or snorkel, depending on the conditions and timing.
Afterward, get back on the road. You return to your starting
point in the evening to end your tour. Proceed on your own to
your hotel in Brisbane for overnight. Free evening.
Day 7: Sydney (B)
Proceed on your own to Brisbane Airport for your return flight
