buildings seamlessly blend into the paradisiacal surroundings.

Rome: Explore the Eternal City at your leisure. Toss a coin into
the Fontana di Trevi, admire the Colosseum and the Pantheon. Then
recharge your batteries with a proper Italian cappuccino before
heading off to enjoy an afternoon of shopping in Campo de Fiori
or in Via Veneto. Wrap it all up with a plate of fresh pasta.
Pompeii: Known as the buried city, it used to be the
holiday destination of wealthy ancient Romans because of its healthy
weather and impressive views. Its archaeological zones, Herculano
and the Annunziata tower have all been listed as World Heritage
Sites by UNESCO.
Amalfi: The Amalfi Coast is a mixture of history and nature that
offers a lot to discover: the cathedral of Amalfi, the villas
Also, the nature reserve of the Ferreira and
the marine reserve of Punta Campanella both contribute to preserving
the natural balance of the environment.
1: Depart via Air Canada.
Day 2: ROME
Arrive Rome. After going through Customs and Immigration, you
will be met and transfered from the airport in Rome to your hotel.
Spend the rest of the day exploring the City of Seven Hills at
your leisure. Enjoy your time getting to know the Eternal City,
where you can simply breathe art and history at every corner.
A seamless blend of old and new, Rome has something to offer to
everyone, whether you are looking for historical factoids or landmarks,
or simply looking to go on a shopping spree in Campo de Fiori
or in Via Veneto. Dont forget to seek out a nice restaurant
in which to wrap up your first day with a plate of fresh Italian
pasta. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 3: ROME
Wake up to an American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Then step
out into the Roman streets and enjoy a three-hour walking tour
to discover Rome. You will be picked up at your hotel and taken
from Largo Argentina on a stroll that will take you to the Piazza
Navona, the world-famous Pantheon and the stunning Fontana di
Trevi. Dont forget to make a wish and toss a coin into its
glimmering waters! The tour comes to an end at the Spanish Steps.
From that moment on, spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

hotel is not included. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 4: ROME
NAPLES POMPEII AMALFI (300km 4hrs)
Wake up to breakfast at the hotel before your pick-up and departure
from Rome. A coach will transport you to Naples along with your
multilingual tour leader. Upon arrival, our local guide will take
you for a walking tour of the historical centre to admire the
Piazza del Plebiscite, the Royal Palace, the Gallery of Umberto
I, and the San Carlo Opera House. Make a quick stop for lunch
and savour some typical Neapolitan specialties, such as mozzarella,
salami, pizza or pasta (soft drinks included). From Naples, the
bus takes you to Pompeii. Here, step into a coral and cameo factory
and learn all about this fascinating trade, before heading on
to a visit of the world-famous excavations. This ancient Roman
city was destroyed and buried under 4 to 6 metres of ash and stone
by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Proceed to Positano
via a breath-taking drive along the Amalfi Coast, taking in the
views of its picturesque fishing villages. Overnight in Amalfi.
DAY 5: AMALFI
An American buffet breakfast at the hotel is followed by some
free time to explore the historical center of Amalfi at leisure.
Justly considered an open-air museum, it preserves almost intact
architectural and urban digs of its past as a rich maritime republic.
You can also visit the picturesque Ravello, with its beautiful
Villa Ruffolo and the magnificent gardens of Villa Cimbrone, or,
alternately, you can opt for spending the day sunbathing on the
beach. Indulge in a romantic dinner in one of the many pretty
restaurants that line the harbour or taste the more typical street
food while you wander through this citys memorable streets.
Overnight in Amalfi.
