Come chill out in Québec this winter and discover new ways to slip, slide, and enjoy the snow like never before. Quebec has loads of snow plus exhilarating outdoor activities for funseekers of all ages just minutes from anywhere. There’s always something cool to do!

With an average natural snowfall of over 400 cm each year, the Quebec region is the perfect winter playground. In fact, the white stuff is the guest of honour at all their winter festivals.

Québec Winter Carnival
Join in the action at the world's biggest winter carnival!
You will enjoy the Ice Palace, snow sculptures, canoe races on the river, dogsled races, night parades, snow bath and much more!

Christmas and the Holiday Season
Starting in early December, Old Québec is transformed into a real Christmas village. Lights, decorations, and snow create an enchanting setting like no other. A flurry of special activities are organized to enjoy this special time of the year.

Christmas markets are set up in the heart of the historic district and in the surrounding villages. You can stroll around Old Québec, visit exhibitions, attend Christmas concerts, bring the kids outside to play, and enjoy many activities planned especially for families.

Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding
The Québec City area is the perfect destination for unforgettable skiing and snowboarding with optimal snow conditions. There are four different resorts, each offering a unique experience for skiers and boarders of all levels: Mont-Sainte-Anne, Le Massif de Charlevoix, Stoneham Mountain Resort, and Le Relais Centre. A
shuttle service is offered for Mont-Sainte-Anne and Le Massif ski resorts.

Nordic Spas
Take a moment to relax after a full day of winter fun and enjoy the benefits of a round of thermotherapy treatments at one of the area’s Nordic spas.
Experience winter like you’ve never done before with an outdoor hot bath!

Fun on Ice
Snow makes a lot of fun activities possible, and ice too!

At Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, you will be amazed by the natural ice walls and the cloud of freezing mist. Have a direct contact with the ice when you try canyoning: rappel down frozen cascades near Mont-Sainte-Anne in a very safe environment. Try ice canoeing, a unique experience that will allow you to paddle on the iced St. Lawrence River.

Skaters will enjoy Place D’Youville’s rink for its Old Québec romantic atmosphere, as well as Lac Beauport’s 3 km skating path. Many other skating rinks and natural surfaces are easily accessible in the city and region.

There's ice fishing, dog sledding and don't forget the ice toboggan run at Chateau Frontenac. There's so much to do in Quebec City, you may want to stay all winter! For more fun things to see and do this winter in Quebec City visit
